A Good Story About Abuse of American's Trust
In 2008 there was political consensus that climate change was one of the most pressing issues facing the world. Now, politicians are refusing to do anything about it. This Frontline documentary looks at why.

Between 2002 and 2010, conservative billionaires donated nearly $120 million to more than 100 anti-climate change groups that cast doubt on the science behind climate change. Large corporations have also contribute - eg. ExxonMobil. Some of the doubters do because of their opposition to increased government involvement, some are true skeptics, but most are motivated by economic reasons - either fear that action to reign in climate change will severely harm the economy, or simply fear that doing such will hurt their own economic interests.
